Overview
Cloning in CQ in some instances allows for record Owners to quickly create a record by copying key information from an existing one. This feature streamlines record creation while maintaining consistency across related records. When cloning, users can choose to replicate important data such as Content, Approvers, Qualified Trainers, Related Documents, Distribution Tracking, and Training Requirements (for Controlled Documents) and other key information in the various records.ords.
By leveraging cloning, organizations save time, reduce errors, and ensure alignment with established document structures and compliance requirements.

Available in: All Records
Installed Package: All - Winter 2025
User Profile: Standard User
Permissions: CQ Base User PSG and CQ Record Owner PSG
Instructions

From the CQ record, click Clone using the options available.

Click the Save button.
