Completing Transfer Phase for Design Projects

Purpose

As a Project Owner, you can complete the Design Transfer phase to confirm the design is ready for release to production.
This action records your decision and completes the design project lifecycle.

Prerequisites

Installation Package: CQ Core, CQ Design Extension, CQ Management Review Dashboard Extension

Product: ProductQuest

Function: Design Projects

User Profile: Standard User

Permissions: CQ Base User PSG, CQ Design Owner PSG

Record Status: Open

Steps

1. Open the Project record.

2. Click Submit Design Transfer or Complete Design Transfer in the Next Best Actions section.

Note: Submit Design Transfer only displays if the Design Transfer Phase requires Approval.

• Provide a Comment and specify the Password, if applicable.

• Click Save.

Expected Outcome

Submit Design Transfer

• The record header displays the Open Status and Design Transfer Stage Stage.

• The Workflow tab displays an overall Approval Status of Pending.

• An email notification is sent to the assigned approvers.

• An Approval Task is created and assigned to the approvers.

• The Submitting Design Transfer activity is displayed on the History tab.

• The Design Transfer Approval Step 1 status shows as Pending in the Approval History section.

Complete Design Transfer

• The Project record moves to the Closed stage and remains in a Closed status.

• The Approval Status is blank.

• The Completing Design Transfer activity appears in Project Record Activities on the History tab.
