Purpose
As a Complaint Owner, clone a Complaint to reuse information from an existing record for a similar issue.
Prerequisites
Installation Package: CQ Core
Product: QualityQuest
Function: Complaints
User Profile: Standard User
Permissions: CQ Base User PSG, CQ Complaint Owner PSG
Steps

From the Complaint record, select Clone from the Action Menu.

Confirm the Parent Complaint, which defaults to the original Complaint number.

If available, keep the default Lot Info; otherwise, search and select the Lot Info.

If available, keep the default Part; otherwise, search and select the Part.

Review Description As Reported, keep or update the text.

(Optional) Select Copy Associated Item(s).

(Optional) Select Copy Script Execution.
-
Select Save.
Expected Outcome
-
A new Complaint record is created with a unique number.
-
The Owner defaults to the user who creates the record.
-
The record opens in Draft Status and Draft Stage.
-
The Submit button is enabled in Next Best Actions and Open Activities.
-
The related task shows the correct Owner, Due Date, and Change Owner options.
-
The Parent Complaint appears in the Referred By Complaints section with Reference Type: Parent, including Status, Complaint number, and Title.

The Parent Complaint lists the new record in Related Complaints with Reference Type: Child, including Status, Complaint number, and Title.

If Copy Associated Item(s) is selected, the parent’s Associated Items appear in the child record.

Copied Associated Items are available through the Associated Items link in Related List Quick Links.

If Copy Script Execution is selected, the parent’s Script Executions appear as Linked Script Executions in the child record.

Copied Script Executions are available through the Linked Script Executions link in Related List Quick Links.
