Completing Development Phase for Design Projects

Purpose

As a Project Owner, you can complete the Development phase to confirm the design is implemented according to the approved plan.
This action records your decision and moves the design project into the next phase.

Prerequisites

Installation Package: CQ Core, CQ Design Extension, CQ Management Review Dashboard Extension

Product: ProductQuest

Function: Design Projects

User Profile: Standard User

Permissions: CQ Base User PSG, CQ Design Owner PSG

Record Status: Open

Steps

1. Open the Project record.

2. Click Submit Development or Complete Development in the Next Best Actions section.

Note: Submit Development only displays if the Development Phase requires Approval.

• Provide a Comment and specify the Password, if applicable.

• Click Save.

Expected Outcome

Submit Development

• The record header displays the Open Status and Development Stage.

• The Workflow tab displays an overall Approval Status of Pending.

• An email notification is sent to the assigned approvers.

• An Approval Task is created and assigned to the approvers.

• The Submitting Development activity is displayed on the History tab.

• The Development Approval Step 1 status shows as Pending in the Approval History section.

Complete Development

• The Project record moves to the Verify& Validate and remains in an Open status.

• The Approval Status is blank.

• The Completing Development activity appears in Project Record Activities on the History tab.
