Linking Related Complaints

Purpose

As a Complaint Owner, you link related complaints to document connections between similar issues. This gives reviewers additional context when assessing and investigating the current complaint.

Prerequisites

Installation Package: CQ Core

Product: QualityQuest

Function: Complaints

User Profile: Standard User

Permissions: CQ Base User PSG, CQ Complaint Creator PSG


Steps

  1. From the Complaint record, select New in the Related Complaints section of the Reference tab, or select Related Complaints from Related List Quick Links and then select New.

  2. Keep the Related Complaint field as the open record number.

  3. Select the Complaint to relate.

  4. Select the Reference Type (Child, Parent, Related, or Duplicate).

  5. Select Save or Save & New.

Expected Outcome

  • The related Complaint appears in the Related Complaints section with its Complaint number, Title, Reference Type, and Status.

  • The Referred By Complaint section lists the Complaint from which it was referenced.

  • View All shows the full list of Related Complaints.

  • View All shows the full list of Referred By Complaints.

  • Edit and Delete options are available from the menu in each Related Complaints row.

  • Edit and Delete options are available from the menu in each Referred By Complaints row.
