Adding Part Revision Details

Purpose

As a Part Creator, you can update the Lifecycle Name and Location of a Part Revision. This documents the Part’s development stage and identifies the manufacturing facility responsible for the Part Revision.

Prerequisites

Installation Package: CQ Core, CQ PLM Extension

Product: ProductQuest

Function: Parts

User Profile: Standard User

Permissions: CQ Base User PSG and CQ PLM Creator PSG

Record: Part record must exist

Configurations: Locations

Steps

1. Open the Part record.

2. Click Pencil in the Part Revision Details section for the field to update.

3. Specify this information:

   • Lifecycle Name
     Specify the lifecycle name.

   • Location
     Specify the location.

4. Click Save.

Expected Outcome

• Part Revision Details are added.

• The Field Update activity appears in the Part History section on the History tab.
