Purpose
As a Permit Approver, you extend the Permit duration before or after it expires to ensure the Permit stays Active when the work requires additional time.

Steps
-
Open the Work Record, and select the appropriate Permit in the Permits section.

Click the Time Extension button in the Next Best Actions section of the Permit record.

Update the Description of Work, if required.

Select the new Work End Date. (The new Work End Date should be later than the existing Work End Date of the Permit.)

Enter a Comment, if required.

Click the Save button.
Expected Outcome
-
The Permit remains in the Approved Status and Approved Stage.

The Deactivate and Time Extension buttons are available in the Next Best Actions section.

In the Permit record, Details tab, Job Details section, the new Work End Date is displayed.

The Time Extension Granted activity is displayed on the History tab.

In the Permit record, Details tab, Information section, the Permit Status becomes Active.

If the linked Work Record is in Approved Stage, in the Work Record, Details tab, Work Record Team Members section, the Print Label option is available in the drop-down of each Team Member.
