Adding Part Details

Purpose

As a Part Creator, you can add essential attributes of a part such as Part Type and Unit of Measurement after a new Part is Created. This ensures each Part has complete and accurate identification data.

Prerequisites

Installation Package: CQ Core, CQ PLM Extension

Product: ProductQuest

Function: Parts

User Profile: Standard User

Permissions: CQ Base User PSG and CQ PLM Creator PSG

Record: Part record must exist

Steps

1. Open the Part record.

2. Click Pencil in the Part Details section for the field to update.

3. Specify this information:

   • Unit of Measure
     Specify the unit of measure.

   • Part Type
     Specify the part type.

4. Click Save.

Expected Outcome

• Part Details are added.

• The Field Update activity appears in the Part History section on the History tab.
