Editing Records

Overview

Editing CQ records allows authorized users to update or modify existing information to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational requirements. This functionality is essential for maintaining data integrity throughout the record lifecycle.

By making edits, users can correct errors, add missing details, or update fields to reflect current information, ensuring that records remain reliable and aligned with quality management processes.

Prerequisites

Available in: All Records

Installed Package: All - Winter 2025

User Profile: Standard User

Permissions: CQ Base User PSG and CQ Record Owner PSG

Record Status: Record is not in a Routed Stage, Closed, or Voided

Instructions

  1. From the CQ record, select Edit from the Action menu.

  1. Update information as needed.

  2. Click the Save button.

Results

  • The CQ Record is updated as needed.

  • If enabled, field changes are logged in the Audit Trail.
