Part Where Used

Purpose

The Where Used concept in CQ PLM is a search functionality that displays which higher level assemblies use a selected Part within the BOM. It defines the relationship between the Part and other components thereby supporting impact analysis, change planning, and component reuse.

Key Capabilities:

• Identifying Next Level Part Numbers that use the Part directly.

• Identifying Top Level Part Numbers that include the Part.

• Identifying the Primary Part Number linked to an Alternate Part Number.
