Changing Libraries for Documents

Purpose

As a Document Owner, you can change a document’s Library to move the file to the correct location for its current status. This action keeps draft, released, and distribution-ready files stored in the appropriate Library.

Prerequisites


Installation Package: CQ Core

Product: QualityQuest

Function: Controlled Documents, Template Documents, and Courses

User Profile: Standard User

Permissions: CQ Base User PSG, CQ Document Owner PSG

Record Status: Draft

Secondary Format: NA-Private Draft


Steps

  1. Open the Controlled Document record.

  2. Click Change Library from the Action Menu.

  3. Specify Draft, Release, or Distribution Library.

Note: Distribution Libraries are not displayed off the shelf and must be configured by your CQ Administrator.

  1. Provide a Comment and specify the Password, if applicable.

  2. Click Save.

Expected Outcome

  • The Library changes are applied.

  • The Changing Library activity appears in the Record Activities section on the History tab.
