Completing Approval for Design Projects

Purpose

As a Design Project Approver, you can review the submitted information for a Design Project and record your decision to complete the required approval step. This confirms whether the Project record can proceed to the next stage defined in the Workflow Policy.

Prerequisites

Installation Package: CQ Core, CQ Design Extension, CQ Management Review Dashboard Extension

Product: ProductQuest

Function: Design Projects

User Profile: Standard User

Permissions: CQ Base User PSG, CQ Design Approver PSG

Record Approval Status: Pending

Note: At least one Approver must be defined for performing the Approval task.

Steps

1. Open the Email notification or a Home tab notification for Design Project Stage approval.

2. Click Approve/Reject to open the Project record.

3. Provide a Comment and specify the Password, if applicable.

4. To approve the Design Project Stage, click Approve in the Next Best Actions section. To reject the Design Project Stage, click Reject.

Expected Outcome

• The approval decision appears on the Workflow tab.

• If approved, the Design Project Stage moves to next Phase and the Status is Open.

• If rejected, the Design Project Stage is in the same phase and the Status is Open.

• The Approval activity appears in the Record Activities section on the History tab.
