Adding New Milestones for Design Projects

Purpose

As a Project Owner, you can add Plan, Development, Verify & Validate, and Design Transfer milestones to mark key completion points in the product design project.

Prerequisites

Installation Package: CQ Core, CQ Design Extension, CQ Management Review Dashboard Extension

Product: ProductQuest

Function: Design Projects

User Profile: Standard User

Permissions: CQ Base User PSG, CQ Design Owner PSG

Record Status: Draft, Open

Steps

1. Open the Project record.

2. Open the Deliverables tab.

3. Select New Milestone from the Quick Action Menu to add milestones for any stages listed.

4. Specify this information:

   • Title
     Provide the name of the New Milestone.

   • Description
     Provide what the New Milestone is about.

   • Assignee
     Specify the person responsible for the completion of New Milestone. Assignee must be a Team Member with Editor access.

   • Status
     If applicable, specify the Status.

   • Progress
     If applicable, specify the Progress percentage.

   • Due Date
     Specify the Due Date.

   • Start Date
     Specify the Start Date to start working on the New Milestone.

   • End Date
     Specify the End Date, if it is known at this time. (This field may be updated later by the Project Owner when the New Milestone is completed.)

5. If applicable, provide the Comments.

6. If applicable, specify the Controlled Document records associated with the New Milestone.

7. Click Save.

Expected Outcome

• New Milestone is added to the Plan/Development/Verify& Validate/Design Transfer Stage.

• New Milestone Edit and Delete options are available.
