Searching Related FMEAs for NC Risk Assessment using AI

Purpose

As an NC Owner, you can review related FMEA records to support accurate risk assessment.

Prerequisites

Installed Package(s): CQ Core, CQ.AI Extension

Product: ProductQuest, Platform & Technology

Function: CQ.AI Agent

User Profile: Standard User

Permissions: CQ Base User PSG, CQ Design Owner PSG, CQSS AI User PSG, Prompt Template User, Data Cloud User

Note:

Recommendation Logic

  • Matches NC Title and Description with FMEA Failure Mode and Failure Effect.

  • Ranks records by highest text similarity.


Filtering Rules

Filters apply based on available Process, Product, and Hierarchical Code in the NC and their linkage in the Design File.

Filter Scenarios

  • Process only

    • Process FMEA and Process FMEA AIAG are linked to the Process

  • Product only

    • FMEA records linked to the Product

  • Process or Product

    • Process FMEA/AIAG linked to the Process

    • OR FMEA records linked to the Product

  • Hierarchical Code and Product

    • Records matching both Product and Hierarchical Code

  • Hierarchical Code and Process

    • Records matching both Process and Hierarchical Code

  • Hierarchical Code, Product, and Process

    • Product AND Hierarchical Code

    • OR Process AND Hierarchical Code

  1. Open the Nonconformance record in Draft status at the Triage stage.

  2. Select Assess Risk from the drop‑down menu.

  3. Select a Risk Model and click Next.

  4. Go to the CQ.AI Recommendation section.

  5. Review the recommended FMEA records.

Expected Outcome

  • The CQ.AI Recommendation section appears after you select a Risk Model.

  • You see FMEA records that match the Nonconformance.

  • Each FMEA record appears as an AI card you can review.

  • You can open any card to view the full FMEA record.

  • You can select relevant FMEA records.

  • Selected records are added to the NC Risk Assessment.
