Creating Part Subassembly

Purpose

As a Part Creator, you can create a Part Subassembly to group related Parts into a single structured unit. This maintains accurate organization and clear hierarchy of Parts in the BOM.

Prerequisites

Installation Package: CQ Core, CQ PLM Extension

User Profile: Standard User

Product: ProductQuest

Function: Parts

Permissions: CQ Base User PSG, CQ PLM Creator PSG, CQ Design Owner PSG

Steps

1. Open the Part record.

2. Select the Part Revision in the Part Revision field.

3. Add Child Parts. For details, see Adding Parts in BOM.”

• Part Subassembly is created.
