Summer 2026 Help

CQ Administrators

As a CQ administrator, often called “CQ Admin” you play a critical role in configuring, maintaining, and optimizing your organization’s Salesforce environment. You have elevated permissions and powerful tools at your fingertips, enabling you to tailor the platform to meet your company’s unique needs.

CQ Admins are responsible for tasks like:

  • Creating and managing user accounts and permissions.

  • Configuring objects, fields, workflows, and validation rules.

  • Building reports and dashboards.

  • Managing user profiles and access to data.

  • Troubleshooting issues and resolving those infamous “contact your admin” errors.

In many organizations, especially smaller ones, admins wear multiple hats. You might also be a power user—selling, supporting, or managing—while also ensuring the system runs smoothly behind the scenes.

ComplianceQuest, powered by Salesforce offers a wide range of features that end users can configure themselves. But for more advanced needs, users will often turn to the CQ Admin for help.

Here are just a few examples of how you might support your users:

  • Locate or enable a specific object, field, or feature.

  • Design an approval process for various CQ workflows.

  • Grant additional permissions not included in a user’s default profile.

  • Answer questions about access to records or data visibility.

  • Investigate and resolve error messages.

How and when users contact you may vary depending on your company’s internal policies. But no matter the structure, your role is essential to ensuring a smooth, secure, and scalable ComplianceQuest experience.
