Adding Document Training Requirements

Purpose

As a Document Owner, you can add Document Training Requirements to identify the documents personnel must review. This action assigns required training and ensures users know which documents they must complete during onboarding or retraining.

Prerequisites


Installation Package: CQ Core

Product: QualityQuest

Function: Controlled Documents, Template Documents

User Profile: Standard User

Permissions: CQ Base User PSG, CQ Document Owner PSG

Record Status: Draft, Pre-Release, Current, Pre-Expire

Configurations: Active Job Functions


Steps

  1. Open the Controlled Document record.

  2. Open the Training tab. Click Edit Requirement for Requirements.

  3. Specify this information:

    • Enable Requirement
      Specify Job Function to add as Document Training Requirement.

    • Enable Refresher
      Specify if refresher training will be needed for Job Function, if applicable.

    • Level of Competency
      Specify Read and Understand for Trainee Sign-off only, Read and Exhibit Competency for Trainee and Trainer Sign-off, or Instructor Led for Trainer Sign-off only.

    • Refresher Competency
      Specify if refresher competency will be needed for refresher training, if applicable.

    • Refresher Interval in Days
      Specify refresher interval in days for refresher training, if applicable. Defaults to 365 days.

    • Days to Complete Refresher
      Specify days to complete refresher training, if applicable. Defaults to 30 days.

    • Days in Advance to Start Refresher
      Specify days in advance to start refresher training, if applicable. Defaults to 30 days.

  4. Click Save. Next click Close.

  5. Open the Training tab to verify Requirement(s) have been added.

Note: Click Edit from the Quick Action to specify the following, if applicable:

  • Activate requirement if Document Status is already Approved and Current.

  • Skip Revision if Revision must be skipped for the requirement.

  • Initial Assessment if an initial assessment will be applied to the requirement.

  • Revision Assessment if a revision assessment will be applied to the requirement.

  • RACI if indicating who is Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed for the requirement.

Expected Outcome

  • The Requirement has been added and settings applied.
