Changing Passwords

Overview

After you log in, you can change your password for better security. If you lost your password, click the Forgot Your Password link on the login page to reset your password via email.

To protect the privacy of your data, change your password periodically. If your CQ Admin expires user passwords on a periodic basis, you will be prompted to change your password at the end of each period.

Steps

  1. From your personal settings, enter Password in the Quick Find box, then select Change My Password.

  2. Enter the password information requested.

  3. Click Save.

Troubleshooting

  • If you forgot your password and can't log in, see Reset Your Forgotten Password.

  • If you're required to log in to CQ via single sign-on (SSO), for example from a Google account or a company portal, you can't change your password in Salesforce because you don't have an active password credential. If you aren't sure whether SSO is required, check with your CQ Admin.

  • When your CQ Admin initiates a password reset for you, your current password becomes invalid. To log in again, finish resetting your password.
