Overview
Creating new documents or templates in CQ must follow the defined process to ensure the document is properly controlled with the QMS and supports audit and compliance requirements.
Use these approved methods to create a document:

Create a new document when no similar document exists.

Clone a document when you need similar content and structure as an existing document.

Create a document from a planned change order when the change record requires a new or revised document as part of its implementation.
Use the method that is required by your organization’s configuration. Confirm with your CQ Administrator if you are unsure which method to use.
