Editing Office 365 Documents

Purpose

As a Document Owner, check out and revise an Office 365 document, collaborate with contributors, and prepare it for review and approval.

Prerequisites

Installation Package: CQ Core

Product: QualityQuest

Function: Controlled Documents, Template Documents

User Profile: Standard User

Permissions: CQ Base User PSG, CQ Document Owner PSG

Record Status: Draft

Configurations: Office 365 Settings

Steps

1. Open the Controlled Document record.

2. Click Edit in the Content section to open the file in Office 365.

3. Revise the document and use the Sharing section to manage collaboration in Office 365.

Example

Expected Outcome

• The controlled document is checked out and opens in Office 365.

• The Content is locked for editing by the document owner.

• The Content Status is set to Checked Out.
