Completing Verify & Validate Phase for Design Projects

Purpose

As a Project Owner, you can complete the Verify& Validate phase to confirm the design meets defined requirements and intended use.
This action records your decision and moves the design project into the next phase.

Prerequisites

Installation Package: CQ Core, CQ Design Extension, CQ Management Review Dashboard Extension

Product: ProductQuest

Function: Design Projects

User Profile: Standard User

Permissions: CQ Base User PSG, CQ Design Owner PSG

Record Status: Open

Steps

1. Open the Project record.

2. Click Submit Verify& Validate or Complete Verify & Validate in the Next Best Actions section.

Note: Submit Verify & Validate only displays if the Verify & Validate Phase requires Approval.

• Provide a Comment and specify the Password, if applicable.

• Click Save.

Expected Outcome

Submit Verify & Validate

• The record header displays the Open Status and Verify & Validate Stage.

• The Workflow tab displays an overall Approval Status of Pending.

• An email notification is sent to the assigned approvers.

• An Approval Task is created and assigned to the approvers.

• The Submitting Verify & Validate activity is displayed on the History tab.

• The Verify & Validate Approval Step 1 status shows as Pending in the Approval History section.

Complete Verify& Validate

• The Project record moves to the Design Transfer and remains in an Open status.

• The Approval Status is blank.

• The Completing Verify & Validate activity appears in Project Record Activities on the History tab.
