Overview
Implementing processes to monitor and improve product quality throughout the lifecycle, including controlled documentation, training, and change controls is crucial to the Product Lifecycle Management process. CQ PLM integrates with CQ’s Change Management solution for managing Part Lifecycle changes in order to follow good change management practices. Engineering changes are documented using the change process, namely through an Engineering Change Order (ECO). An ECO is a document that specifies either new product design details or proposed changes to existing products. Change Orders are used to notify the appropriate stakeholders about the proposed change. Change Order can then be assessed to determine a plan for the proposed changes. Plan can be approved, implemented, and released.
